Walk Away (Poem)

Walk Away

There were so many times that I wanted to walk away. 

Unsure if I had the strength to, fear of what I would drift to 

but I knew I had to walk away.

Moments when my mind was cloudy...

I had so much doubt but he...

In a still voice said it's time.

I was straddling the fence and not everything made sense to me...

but I knew He who loves me so deeply 

and whose son died so I live freely 

to make it to eternity with Him.

I thank God for saving me, for his mercy, 

his love that unconditionally showers me daily.

Thank you for using me, 

letting me tell my story showing how beautifully....flawed I am. 

But I'm made whole in you, 

by your stripes I'm renewed 

and so again I thank you for helping me walk away!
