Why Jesus?

Jesus is for you.

"For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 AMP

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We all have a sinful nature (example: bitterness, pride, envy, greed), which without God will lead us down a path of destruction and to eternal damnation in hell (Romans 6:23). Despite this nature God still loves us, so He sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on a cross to pay the debt for our sin and then raised Him from the dead, so that we can be saved (John 3:16).

  • The Bible says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household” (Acts 16:30-31 NIV). Salvation is a free gift given by God which restores us into right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:9). This means we are no longer bound by sin or the penalty of sin and because we have received Christ, we can prosper on earth and spend eternity with God in Heaven.

    • To receive salvation you must do 3 things (Romans 10:9-10):

      1. Recognize you need a Saviour

      2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord

      3. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead

    • If you are ready to move forward, say this prayer with me;

      1. “Jesus, I need you, as I am a sinner. Come into my heart, come into my life, as my Lord and God. In Jesus name, Amen.”

    • If you prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are now our brother or sister in Christ and we welcome into the Kingdom of God! We would love to connect with you, let us know who you are by completing this form.

  • We are all human and mistakes will come (Romans 3:23). But God, knowing all things, knew we would make mistakes, which is why Jesus paid the price already for our sin (Romans 5:8). I want to encourage you, instead of focusing on your mistakes, bring your weakness to God through prayer (communication with God) and receive the forgiveness He has already made available to you (Ephesians 1:4).

    • Once you are saved, you have been made new (spiritually - 2 Corinthians 5:17) but it’s important to continue to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God.

    • To do so, follow these ABCD’s which are a key in walking with Christ.

      1. Pray - choose a time and communicate with God daily in prayer

      2. Read the Bible - read a minimum of 1 chapter of a day

      3. Community - join a local church and stay connected to the Bible Study Amongst Friends ministry.

      4. Witness - your testimony is the tool God has given you to reach other people. Find someone you can share the good news of Christ with.
